Maggada Mane is not just a brand, it is a family legacy, a living tradition, and a heartfelt tribute to the timeless art of handloom weaving. Rooted in the heritage of three generations of weavers, our story begins in 2015 with the Kellatty family from the Devanaga community. Witnessing the growing struggles of traditional artisans, who were once the pride of Indian craftsmanship but were now facing unemployment and fading recognition, the family felt a deep calling to act.
Out of this purpose was born Maggada Mane, a name that means “Magga” (loom) and
“Mane” (home). More than just a business, it became a revival, a homecoming for forgotten artistry and a space to protect and promote the cultural richness of handcrafted textiles. Maggada Mane stands as a promise to restore dignity, opportunity, and pride to the weaving community through every thread we weave.
